Powerball, no thank you. Yes I’m a fool.

Why does going back to work after a vacation always suck? Heck even going back to work after a weekend sucks. The Powerball jackpot is over $425 million, maybe it’s time to start buying lottery tickets. I rarely get caught up in the hype over various large lottery jackpots, I figure my odds of winning the Noble Peace Prize are better than my odds on the lottery. I am the one idiot person, when people in the office pool money together to buy tickets, that does not participate and one day it will probably come back to bite me in the ass. It is amazing the amount of money people will spend on lotteries, scratch off tickets, or even at casinos, just to try and strike it rich. I think that is part of the American fabric, settlers headed west to Colorado and California to try and strike it rich on gold, and to Texas for oil.

20121126-211938.jpg Today why work to get rich, we just want to pick six numbers or scratch off a ticket, or push a button on the slot machine. Don’t get me wrong if I thought I truly cold get rich that easy I would be doing the same thing, however I need every spare dollar I have to make ends meet each month. Yes I dream, like very one else, of the things I would do with the money, the trips around the world, pay for my kids college education, challenge Donald Trump to get a new hair style. Oh we’ll it’s nice to dream, come Thursday I may be the only one showing up at my office. If you do happen to win, please remember this poor lonely blogger. Any donation would be appreciated. Good luck to all who purchase a Powerball ticket, may your luck be better than mine.

  1. I have never bought a lottery ticket. Of course I don’t have a job either, and I’m beginning to think the odds of me finding one are about like the odds of winning the lottery!

  2. Rick says:

I have never bought a ticket, either. Maybe I should. I don’t know. The government will get most of it anyway.
