Ol Man River

For my final night in Memphis, I decided to go to the new Bass Pro Shop that opened in the Memphis Pyramid. The pyramid was previously used for concerts and sporting events until FedEx Forum was built  after that it pretty much was vacant until Bass Pro bought and renovated it and boy did they do one heck of a job!

Having visited the headquarter store in Springfield MO many times, I expected this to rival it. Let me say it not only revivals it but surpasses it. You can take an elevator to the top where there is an observation deck to go out on and view the Mississippi River and downtown Memphis. The view was spectacular.

Inside they not only had the aquarium but they also had a alligator pit and a mossy swamp that ran through the store.

Yes they had all the outdoor supplies one could want along with regular clothing, a restaurant, bowling alley and more.

One does not have to be an outdoors person or hunt and fish to enjoy this store in Memphis
