Without fans what do you have?

I read this excellent post which you can find here http://cyberprmusic.com/2013/07/09/5-unforgetable-fan-experiences/ that talks about one persons unforgettable experiences as a fan.

Artist whether they are musicians, actors, writers, or painters need the support of their fans.  The fans purchase the CD, see the movies, go to the concerts, buy the books, so on and so forth.  The fans have helped each artist move up the ladder to what ever the dreams the artist has.  If the fans do none of the above items, the artist will either fade away or have a hard time getting any recognition for their work.  In interviewing the artist I have, I know they all appreciate their fans who come to their shows and buy their CDs.  I also know fans can be demanding and unreasonable and there is that fine line an artist has to walk sometimes.

The post also had me thinking about how we as ordinary people can do little things for each other that can create an unforgettable experience for either our friends, family members, or even a stranger.  It is a challenge I offer to each person as well as artists.  What can you do to create an unforgettable experience?

  1. Umm, what can we do? You asked an interesting question. I might start with one person, my relative. Thanks.
