Daily Prompt-Goals

When you started your blog, did you set any goals? Have you achieved them? Have they changed at all?

When I fist started this blog in July of 2012, I had two goals, could I keep posting on a regular basis and could I last more than six months.  My fear when starting this was that I would not force myself to be disciplined enough to write on a regular basis.  I try to post on a daily basis to keep myself in the routine, my fear has been that if I started skipping a day here and a day there then I would eventually just stop.

Overall I am pleased that I have been able to stick with this.  I have posted 270 times in ten months.  I am enjoying blogging and the people who I read are amazing writers, photographers, and poets.  Some great people have been kind enough to comment on my material, offer advice and support, something I never thought would happen.

Now as I complete my first year of blogging, I have been trying to decide what direction I want to take it, what new goals do I want to set for myself.  My main goal of trying to post daily will still be there, but I think it is time to look at what is next, where do I want to take my blog.

  1. Congrats. Hey you. Congrats. Takes diligence to keep a blog interesting and going. I have goals I guess to keep content fresh, regular, to network but I really want to inspire others. Lofty I know.

Happy Anniversary!! Isn’t the blogosphere amazing? I set myself a similar goal of posting daily for 2013 but I now find that I can’t keep it up. I’m amazed at those who can do it. Here’s to more posts, meeting new people and having fun. Cheers, Mary.

When I start blogging,my goal is to get as many visitors as I can. Well, it was quite successful until first WordPress and then later Blogger disrupted me and now I have re-established all over again this time on my own self-hosted self-paid site. Traffic rate is not as fast as in the past. I still maintain the 5-posting per week routine. I will like to last as long as I can. Quitting and giving up is not just for me. You can call me either stubborn or perseverance !

  4. and……..it led to front range radio! Isn’t it funny how one thing always leads to another?! 🙂

I’m nearly to 2 years–but that includes ending one blog, starting the current one–so there wasn’t really much of an interruption. I call it my unpaid job–which provides structure and great satisfaction. God bless you as you keep on keepin’ on.
