Give your newer sisters and brothers-in-WordPress one piece of advice based on your experiences blogging.
Don’t get caught up in the number of followers you have. Yes everyone likes to feel what they write is good and appreciated by others, and yes most people feel good inside when they get followers, but to have a large number of followers does not really translate into readers. Be happy to have followers that interact with you and support you on a regular basis. Don’t get me wrong I am happy to have every person that follows me, and I appreciate every person that takes the time to read a post, comments on a post, or hits the like button. I am however most grateful for the ones that keep coming back and offer encouraging words or advice, for those followers mean the world to me. So grasshopper, write because you want to, because it makes you happy or because it provides some form of therapy for you, don’t write because you want a million followers.

Great advice and I personally believe this as well! Having friends IS nice but there in no way you cab actually have THAT MANY friends. I have always said this of Facebook. I mean who do we actually follow?

I 100 % agree with you!! I totally don’t pay attention to my number of followers any more. I just enjoy interacting with my WordPress family!
