Christmas and New Years has passed (how many resolutions have you kept?), the Super Bowl is over, we are now heading full force into Valentine’s Day. Yes that All-American Hallmark holiday were you are damned if you do and damned if you don’t. The pressure of the holiday grows with each passing year. What happened to the simpler times when we were children and the receiving of a card and candy was enough to excite us? Why have we let the “commercialism” of the day creep in to were if our loved one does not get us something good, i.e. big and expensive, then we are going to be pissed for days? When did the amount of money we spend equal love? Yes we should show appreciation for the ones we love, but should we not show that appreciation 365 days a year? Ok I will get off my soapbox, normal programing will resume shortly.

It’s just business way of commercializing the occasion to profit out of this by making prodding on people’s guilty conscious. Just like what you said, we should show love and appreciation everyday and not just on certain special occasions.
All about making money, don’t let a holiday go to waste.
