Imagine all the people living life in peace

Resolutions, promises, goals, many people set such things at the start of a new year. I normally do not make new year resolutions; I do however have some goals for my blog in 2013. Two goals I have set are 1) to connect and work with other bloggers and 2) to become involved in various projects.

One of the projects I have decided to become involved with is “Bloggers for Peace”. Once a month I will devote a post towards peace, whether it be in the form of photos, a poem or through other means. Now anyone who knows me knows I’m not a “bleeding heart liberal” as my dad would say, however peace is a lot more than protesting a war, it’s how we deal with each other in our communities, our neighborhoods. I hope you will walk with me on this journey in 2013. If you would like to join myself and others, please click on the bloggers for peace badge to find out more.  Change can occur.

To start my journey I am re-posting a photo challenge from September 21, 2012 that ties in peace and starting over.

Travel Theme White

Where’s My Backpack’s travel theme this week is White, in honor of today Friday September 21st being the UN’s International Day of Peace. I decided to do something very simple for the theme to try to make a bold statement. It is a single sheet of white paper to represent the chance to use this day for peace by starting over with a clean slate.

Beautiful, Frontrangescribbles. I can’t think of a better way to start the New Years than with a clean slate for peace. Thank you so much for participating in Bloggers for Peace. I look forward to seeing more of your photography and reading more of your posts.
