Jakesprinter Sunday Post theme this week is City. The city I live near, is not as photogenic as say New York or Chicago. It doesn’t have many skyscrapers, the skyline is not dominated by tall buildings but rather by the mountains to the west.
The first photo is a picture of part of the city Manitou Springs. The city sits kind of in a valley. It is where you catch the Cog Railway to take up to the top of Pikes Peak. The city will hold its annual coffin race and coffin parade this weekend.
The next two photos are of downtown Colorado Springs. The mountain in the third picture is Pikes Peak, very visible from just about anywhere in Colorado Springs.

How unexpected to find Colorado Springs ! We made a short but sweet visit a couple of years ago on our way down to Canyon Lands and other places . Aunt of my husband lives out there ! Pikes Peak is enormous 🙂
