The wind is talking.

The wind is hollowing outside, rattling the windows, shaking the house.

Darkness has settled in across the land, fall is making its presence known to one and all.

The temperature is dropping like the leaves from the trees, covering the ground like a blanket as the blanket for the bed gets pulled out of the closet to warm the body and mind.

The harvest is underway out in the fields, the pumpkins are ripe and orange, its time to start harvesting my thoughts about the closing year and carve out a new beginning for the coming year.

Witches, goblins and ghouls are preparing for All Hallows’ Eve, to cast their spells and haunt the neighborhood, while I want to do a little haunting myself with a little of that old black magic.

The turkey is putting on those last few extra pounds unknowingly for the big feast, yet I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to lose a few of those extra pounds after the holiday food orgies.

Family and friends will gather from near and far to celebrate the present, reminisce about the past and toasting the future, hoping we are not doomed to make the same mistakes.

The wind is hollowing outside, rattling the windows, shaking the house. Fall is here and old man winter is slowly making his journey.
