Cheesy expressions of love, if nothing else, provide us with a little chuckle, or smile when we hear one. Train’s latest song “Drive By” has, in my humble opinion, one of the cheesiest lines I have heard in recent memory. Part of the refrain to the song goes:
“I’m just a shy guy looking for a two ply Hefty bag to hold my love”
This line is brilliant! Greeting card companies should be beating down the door to Train’s manager to use that line in cards. Hefty should develop a new marketing campaign around this.
“Our two ply bags are not only strong enough to hold your garbage, they now can hold your love.”
Come Valentine’s Day you could give the object of your affection, not a heart shaped box of chocolate, but a two ply bag. Heck the bag could even be red and white. The possibilities are endless.
The down side to having a two ply bag hold your love, is you have to make your don’t take the wrong two ply bag to the dumpster, or your love could literally be in the dumps!
I must give Train credit, the song is catchy especially the complete refrain:
“Oh I swear to you
I’ll be there for you
This is not a drive by
Just a shy guy looking for a two ply
Hefty bag to hold my love
When you move me everything is groovy
They don’t like it sue me
either way you do me
Oh I swear to you
I’ll be there for you
This is not a drive by”
